Why it helps
The mechanic sees immediately that the code was understood and what it means, before running the analysis.
As you type fault codes into the diagnostic form, WrenchLane looks each one up and shows its name right below the field, for example 'P0300 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected'.
Both generic and manufacturer-specific codes are supported. You see straight away that the code was understood, before you run the analysis.
How to
- Open the diagnostic form
- Type codes into Error codes (Error codes / Felkoder); descriptions appear below the field
Good to know
- Up to 20 codes, each up to 16 characters, are looked up at a time.
- Manufacturer codes (for example CD0100) are kept whole. Generic OBD codes may be shown with a failure-type suffix.
- A code that cannot be resolved still appears, with a generic label instead of a name.
- Some reserved or manufacturer-specific codes do not get a name.
