Why it helps
Gives a code-driven test sequence from OEM data next to the AI's cause list.
When you run a diagnostic with fault codes on a vehicle with technical data, the diagnostic page includes an Error code diagnosis card. It gives you guided tests for the codes you entered: the related components to check one after another, each opening its own component diagnosis.
It sits next to the AI's cause list, so you have a code-driven test sequence from OEM data as well.
How to
- Open a diagnostic result with error codes on a vehicle with technical data
- Expand Error code diagnosis under ERROR CODES
- Under CHECK THE FOLLOWING COMPONENTS click a component
- Work through the component diagnosis tabs (Wiring diagram, ECU pin and connector, Location, Related parts, Component information); use the arrows to move between components and Back to return
Good to know
- You need to enter error codes, and the vehicle needs technical data access.
- Available on Small and Large, on One for the unlocked vehicle, and on the demo vehicle.
- Available in countries with OEM technical data coverage (EU, EFTA and the UK).
- If nothing matches you see 'No guided component tests found for the entered error codes.'

Can I go from a cause straight to wiring diagrams and component tests?
In European countries, electrical causes list the components to check in order, with Locate, Verify and Repair and a guided wiring-diagram test, and an Error code diagnosis card gives guided tests per code. Highlighted part names in the text link into the technical data; in North America they open Images & diagrams. Opening the data needs a Small or Large plan, the One plan's unlocked vehicle or the demo vehicle.
