Subscribe with Apple In-App Purchase (iOS app)

In the iPhone/iPad app, paid plans (One, Small, Large, monthly or yearly) are bought through Apple's native purchase sheet instead of Stripe. Prices shown are the App Store's localized prices. Users can restore earlier purchases, switch plans, and cancel through Apple's subscription settings.

Why it helps

Pay with the Apple ID already on the phone, in local currency, without entering card details.

In the iPhone and iPad app you can buy One, Small or Large, monthly or yearly, with Apple's own purchase sheet. Prices are shown in your App Store currency, and you can restore earlier purchases, switch plans and cancel through Apple.

How to

  1. In the iOS app open the pricing page (any upgrade prompt opens /pricing)
  2. Pick Monthly or Yearly and tap 'Get {{plan}}' on a plan card (sv: 'Skaffa {{plan}}')
  3. Confirm in Apple's purchase sheet; after verification the app returns to the dashboard
  4. To restore after reinstall: tap 'Restore previous purchases' (sv: 'Återställ tidigare köp') on the pricing page
  5. To change plan: tap 'Switch plan' (sv: 'Byt plan'); upgrades apply immediately with proration, downgrades at period end (Apple subscription group ranking)
  6. To cancel or downgrade to Free: 'Downgrade to Free' (sv: 'Nedgradera till Free') or Profile > Plan & billing > 'Manage subscription' (sv: 'Hantera prenumeration') opens Apple's subscriptions page

Good to know

  • Upgrades apply right away; downgrades take effect at the end of the period.
  • Some yearly plans may only be available on the web; the card then shows the monthly price and 'Yearly available on web'.
  • If a plan is not available on iOS you will see 'This plan isn't available on iOS yet. Please subscribe from the web app.'
  • One Apple ID can only be linked to one WrenchLane workspace.
  • The currency follows your App Store country; the payment method is managed by Apple.
  • An Apple subscription can only be managed in the iOS app, not on the web or Android.
  • If you already pay on the web, the app shows a 'managed on the web' notice instead.
Can I subscribe in the iPhone app?

Yes. In the iOS app you buy One, Small or Large through Apple's purchase sheet at the App Store's local price, and you can restore earlier purchases with Restore previous purchases. If a yearly plan is not offered in the app, it is marked as available on the web.
