Why it helps
Lets the mechanic choose a car when no plate or VIN is at hand.
No plate or VIN to hand? Pick the car from dropdown lists: year, make, model and engine or variant. It works in every country. In Europe the list combines vehicles covered by OEM technical data with a wider vehicle catalog.
How to
- Open Start (Select your vehicle)
- Choose the Dropdown tab, or use the single picker in other countries
- Select year, Select make, Select model and Select engine / variant, in that order
Good to know
- In countries with OEM technical data coverage this is the Dropdown tab. In countries outside Europe and North America it is the only way to choose a vehicle.
- In countries outside Europe and North America you get diagnostics, TSBs and Ask WrenchLane, but no manuals, service or electronics data.
- Some makes come only from the wider catalog. For those, the Manuals, Electronics, OEM info and Service & maintenance cards do not appear.

How do I choose a vehicle?
It depends on your workshop's country. In Sweden you can use the license plate, VIN or the model dropdown; in other European countries VIN or the dropdown; in the US, Canada and Mexico year, make, model, engine and sub-model; elsewhere a model dropdown.

What if my country is not on either list?
You still get AI diagnostics, TSBs and Ask WrenchLane, and you choose the vehicle from a model list. Manuals, Service & maintenance, Electronics and OEM info are not available, and there is no demo vehicle.
