Type a Swedish license plate and WrenchLane identifies the exact vehicle. If several engine or gearbox variants match the plate, you pick your version from a list.
You can also press Scan license plate to photograph or upload a picture of the plate, and it is read automatically. It is the fastest way to the exact vehicle configuration without typing make, model and engine.
How to
- Open Start (Select your vehicle)
- Choose the License plate tab
- Type the plate in the License plate field and submit it, or press Scan license plate to use a photo
- If several variants match, pick one under Select your version:
Good to know
- Available for accounts in Sweden today. More European countries are planned.
- Free plan: 1 plate lookup per day. At the limit you see 'You've reached today's plate-lookup limit' with an Upgrade button. One, Small and Large: unlimited.
- A plate photo must be an image. If no plate is found you see 'No license plate detected in image'.

It depends on your workshop's country. In Sweden you can use the license plate, VIN or the model dropdown; in other European countries VIN or the dropdown; in the US, Canada and Mexico year, make, model, engine and sub-model; elsewhere a model dropdown.
