WrenchLane and AutoRemote connect AI-driven troubleshooting with remote diagnostics and programming
Stockholm, 3 September 2026 – WrenchLane and AutoRemote are entering a partnership that will make it easier for independent workshops to diagnose and complete increasingly advanced vehicle jobs.
The partnership connects WrenchLane’s AI-driven diagnostic and repair workflow with AutoRemote’s services for programming, coding and other functions carried out through original equipment tools.
The aim is to create a more coherent workflow for the technician, from understanding the problem and finding the right action to actually being able to carry out the job in their own workshop.
Modern vehicles contain a growing number of components and functions that require programming, software updates or access to the vehicle manufacturers’ diagnostic systems. For an independent workshop, that can mean not being able to do the job at all and having to refer the customer to a franchised dealer.
AutoRemote makes those functions available remotely, helping the workshop program components, download software and code using original diagnostic equipment.
At the same time, WrenchLane supports the technician through the troubleshooting by combining AI with technical vehicle information, OEM data, fault codes, known faults, verification steps and repair information in one coherent workflow.
“Our ambition is for the technician to go from a problem to a finished repair within one and the same workflow. When WrenchLane identifies that the next step requires programming or an advanced OEM function, it should be easy to get the right help straight away. Together with AutoRemote we can now tie together another important part of the job,” says Hans Markebrant, founder of WrenchLane.
For AutoRemote, the partnership means its specialist services become a natural part of the workshop’s troubleshooting and repair process, and can be offered when the need actually arises.
“Our goal is for independent workshops to be able to take on and complete more jobs themselves, even when the work requires functions that normally call for brand-specific equipment and expertise. Through WrenchLane the need can be identified during troubleshooting, and the workshop can then move on to AutoRemote to get the job finished,” says Mickael Persson, CEO of AutoRemote.
The first version of the partnership launches on 3 September. When WrenchLane identifies a need for programming or another relevant remote service, the workshop can move on to AutoRemote directly from the WrenchLane workflow.
The parties will then develop the integration further, step by step, with the goal of creating an even more seamless flow between AI-driven diagnostics, technical vehicle data, repair and remote OEM services.
