It’s easier to use with pre-defined clicks, chat is also available but more structured. With Diagnostic 2.0 you get a clear, step-by-step workflow you can follow in the bay - smart decisions, reduced time spent on diagnostics and repair.

2) How do I use the new Diagnostic?
Diagnostic 2.0 is the default experience. If you prefer the old style for now, you can temporarily switch back using the button on the right in the app.
- Photo your OBD reader text or enter DTC:s manually
- Add symptoms by voice or text
- WrenchLane then guides you with smart diagnostics and repair
3) Most likely cause
Instead of a long list of theoretical possibilities, you now get a ranked “most likely cause” for each fault. Open each cause and explore. If you want to open the chat - click on “How to verify” or click “Repair Instruction” to get repairs in steps.
4) Verification-first guidance
You get the minimum checks needed to confirm the hypothesis. That means less wasted time searching for information and making wrong turns.
5) Smarter recommendations that consider time, cost, and complexity
We help you choose the fastest path to resolution based on workshop reality. Our instructions take price and time into account when suggesting the next step.
6) Guided repair steps when you’re ready to fix the car
The workflow continues from diagnosis to repair, so the job doesn’t stall when it’s time to act. Guided licenced OEM repair instructions are available in certain plans and markets
